Firstly, we need to know what color temperature is?
Color temperature is a way of describing the light emitted by a light bulb.
Color temperature is measured in Kelvin (K) and ranges from 1000 to 10000.
Usually, commercial and residential lighting applications are between 2000K and 6500K.
The color temperature of a light bulb allows us to know the appearance and feel of the light produced.
The color temperature of a light bulb is specified based on correlated color temperature (CCT).
For example, if you heat a metal object, it will emit light. According to the Kelvin temperature at which the metal object is heated, the color of the light emitted will vary, such as orange, yellow, or blue. The color temperature of a light bulb is designed to replicate the Kelvin temperature of a metal object.
Living Room Lighting
- CCT 2700-3000K
- The light source is located 90 inches above the ground, providing the best lighting effect
Restaurant lighting
- CCT 3000k
- See clearly the food on the table and the people eating
- The color of the lighting makes the food look more appetizing
- Usually, a low hanging chandelier is used to keep the light source low enough and create a sense of concentration
Kitchen lighting
- Cold light lamp 5500-6000k
- Improve the visibility of the operator and prevent injury
- The color of dishes that attract appetite
Bedroom lighting
- CCT: Warm light 2700-3000k, warm and comfortable to promote sleep
- Low color temperature, maintaining melatonin secretion, promoting people to enter a sleep state
Study lighting
- Color temperature 4000k
Above the desk:
- Adjustable angle lighting fixtures
- Light enters from directly above or to the left of the desk
- 60W self igniting desk lamp
Next to the computer: If the color temperature of the computer is too high (5500-6000k), it can be balanced with a low color temperature (3000k)
Bookcase Collection: Projection Lamp/Wall Wash Lamp
Bathroom lighting
- Color temperature: neutral light 4000-4500k
- Simple shaped flat/simple lamp
- Must be waterproof, lampshade sealed, and lamp joints must not be exposed to the outside
Shower area:
- just look at the toiletries clearly, low color temperature 2700k
- Do not install spotlights/simple lights on the top, as direct sunlight can be uncomfortable
Bathtub: Lighting fixtures should be treated with anti glare and anti fog measures
Mirror/mirror cabinet with built-in light:
- The lights on the ceiling can create shadows on people's faces
- Wall lights installed on both sides of the mirror
- Natural white light, avoid using warm light
